Model Casting Call {Frisco Portrait Photographer}

Posted on June 30, 2010

I have an itch. An itch to try out some fabulous and new ideas.

Most photographers have some tried-and-true standby ideas that they can fall back on if necessary. I am no different, and while it is important to have that, I want my images to have freshness, beauty, romance, and mystery. The only way to have that is to be daring, try new ideas, and to let myself go.

So I’m going to do that.

Let myself go.

But I need your help. I need a few models to go out adventuring with me. To be willing to try new things, to have some fun, and to have some new experiences with me. And on the way, get some amazing images (I hope!).

I am looking for men and women. Of all ages (18+, please). Of all ethnicities. In all situations in life. Who are looking to be daring. Who won’t let life pass them by.

You must be willing to sign a model release, and be 18 years old or older. And as with all models, you have the opportunity to purchase 5 of your digital images for only $150.

Interested? Please apply below. I can’t wait!

Photog-Swap {Denton Portrait Photographer}

Well, as you read last week, I have been out of town for the past 7 days! I have served at a camp called Royal Family Kids’ Camp for 6 years, and it is a camp for children who have been abused and neglected, and are in the foster care system. This past week, I had the privilege to serve 28 children ages 6-12 in Dickinson, Texas, and it was AMAZING. I was in the drama each evening, I was a puppet each morning, and I got to be one of the three photographers during the day, documenting each day so that each child could receive a memory scrapbook at the end of the week with pictures of their whole time at camp. I loved on these children and came back with so much more than I went there with. I would love to post some pictures from the camp, but I’m still out of town and haven’t even shown the pictures to my sweet husband (who stayed home alone the whole week!!!), so after he has seen them, I will show them on the blog. But for all my wonderful clients, thank you for being patient while I was out of town, and thanks for understanding as I catch up from the time away….hundreds of emails to sort through, 21 voicemails to listen to and call back, and a whole lot of emotions to process as I leave camp. Plus, tomorrow is Father’s Day so I will be spending the day with my Daddy :) .

I am in the Woodlands right now (my hometown), and one of my dear friends from high school (we met in 9th grade Spanish class!!!) has a photography business in the Woodlands area. We both needed headshots, so we decided to do a quick photo swap this afternoon in the sweltering heat! We probably were only out there 3o minutes, and we were both dripping with sweat and covered with bug bites by the end of it, but I think we ended up with some great shots. Here are Courtney Moore of Courtney Moore Photography’s new headshots! :)
